The Akashic Records are a term used in theosophy to describe a compendium of mystical knowledge encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the Akashic plane or Akashic field. Here are a few key points about the Akashic Records.
They are thought to contain all knowledge of human experience and deeds, emotions, thoughts and past events on Earth. Essentially, they are a record of everything that has happened since the damn of humanity.
The Akashic Records are believed to be stored in the Akashic field or Akashic plane, a dimension of consciousness said to transcend time and space. Some describe it as being similar to the ether or zero point energy field.
According to the theosophy, the Records can be accessed by adepts or practitioners of psychic arts such as intuitive reading, mediumship, hypnosis, or astral projection. Some believe advanced spiritual beings constantly access them.
The Records are stored as energetic vibrational frequencies rather than as words, images or languages. It is believed one needs to achieve a certain level of spiritual development to interpret or understand them.
This is where your intention plays a big part in.
The concept of a universal record or memory of souls has been explored in other mystical and religious traditions as well, under different name. But the modern term "Akashic Records" comes from theosophy.
